care of the table setting and the dishes. Okay?" She continued, "Saturday mornings we'll dust and vacuum; I'll do the laundry but I'd like you to learn to iron," Mary asked?

"Iron? Okay I guess."

She went on dividing up the household chores. Since we had a gardener for the outside, it was only fair, I helped on the inside.

The next Saturday, she pulled me out of bed and we quickly did our chores. I wore my old tattered robe and was embarrassed when Mary tied a white apron around my waist when doing the dishes. It did prevent my robe from getting wet.

Over the next few weeks, she taught me the basics of house cleaning. I found the apron an essential safeguard, its pockets were handy. I wore it almost all mornings and when I did the dinner dishes.

CHAPTER 2

One night after dinner, Mary commented again about how cute I looked in the apron. I always flushed red at what I thought was her 'little joke'. But she asked, "Would you try something for me?” "What?"

"Well," she replied hesitantly, "On a whim, I bought you some pretty night gowns, and I want you to wear them instead of your pajamas. Is that terrible of me?" she concluded.

"I don't see anything so terrible about that," I replied, "unless it might be the way I will look in them. If you want me to wear them, I certainly will try."

It was a strange request but this wasn't the first time we played marital 'games' at home.

"This is Mary. How could I resist doing whatever she wanted?"

"I think you will look alright in them," she smiled. "I expect you may even come to like wearing them...they're easier to get into and OUT of." She winked at me, adding, "Of course, if you don't, you can go back to your old pajamas."

After cocktails and dinner we went up to our room, and Mary brought out the nighties she had bought for me. All of them were nylon, and simply dripping with ribbons and lace: one was white, another pink, another blue, still another lilac, and one a light green, which she explained was not 'green' but 'melon'.

"So many? I thought you meant two or three?"

"Aren't they lovely?" she asked, "Try them on and let's see how they fit." I tried them on, one after the other, and each was a wonderful fit; sensuously
